Grainger Simple Application

Effective for Fall 2027 applications:

The M.Eng. in Autonomy & Robotics program invites current Grainger Engineering undergraduates or alumni who have graduated within the past year from a Grainger engineering program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last two years of undergraduate study to apply using the simple application process. Applicants meeting the criteria are eligible for an application fee waiver and are not required to submit letters of recommendation.

Applicants using the simple application are not automatically admitted into the M.Eng. in Autonomy & Robotics program. Final admission decisions rest with the Graduate College Admissions Office and require the completion of any academic degrees that were incomplete at the time of application and maintaining a satisfactory GPA.

To apply using the simple application, complete the university’s Online Application.

In the application fee waiver section, select “Yes” to the following questions:

In the Reference Information section, you can leave the reference information blank and click Continue.

You may receive this error message when you do not add references. You can disregard this error message. This will not prevent your application from being submitted.
